Special Commendation for Us Without Abuse at the 2025 CEA Awards

Last night, at the 2025 Community Services Excellence Awards hosted by WACOSS, the Us Without Abuse campaign was honoured with a Special Commendation from the judging panel in recognition of our community-led approach to challenging family and elder abuse in the Kimberley.
While we didn’t take home the top prize, we are incredibly proud to have our work recognised in a room filled with such powerful, purpose-driven initiatives. This campaign is built on partnership, truth-telling, and the deep belief that change is possible when communities lead the way.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Karla Kuliny Aboriginal Corporation, the deserving winner in our category — Inspiring Partnership between an Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisation and a Community Services Organisation.
We also celebrate our fellow Kimberley organisations for their achievements:
-
Marra Worra Worra – winner
-
Kullarri Regional Communities Indigenous Corporation – winner
These recognitions reflect the strength and leadership of our region. We are proud to stand alongside you all.
To everyone who has walked with us on the Us Without Abuse journey — this commendation belongs to you.
