Bigiswun Kid is a community-driven research and support project that follows the lives of adolescents who were part of the original Lililwan Study in the Fitzroy Valley. As they’ve grown into young adults, this project has walked alongside them, listening deeply to their experiences and identifying the cultural, social and structural supports needed to thrive.
Bigiswun Kids project reflects what’s possible when research is grounded in self-determination, community governance, and a commitment to culturally safe, strengths-based approaches.
